The last 10 days have been a whirlwind for the #fediverse. Important new versions of @mammoth and @ivory launched. WordPress and Tumblr reaffirmed their commitment to ActivityPub. And Threads and Flipboard began to federate. What does this all mean for the fediverse? How will moderation work? Who will be next to federate?

元々毎週火曜日公開予定でしたが、今回は火曜日に「報道: Flipboardの有名25アカウントのActivityPub対応と4月全員対応の予定発表 | GNU social JP Web」の発表があったので、遅れたようです。また、今回の公開の直前に、FlipboardのPeerTubeサーバーが公開されました。今後は「Video channel videos – Flipboard PeerTube」でも取材動画を投稿するようです。

今回の取材相手はMastodon著者のEugen Rochkoです。Eugen Rochkoの取材は私が知る限り久しぶりです。この1年のMastodonの成長、「機能: ThreadsのEU対応、ActivityPub対応のテスト開始、Webアプリの絵文字検索、ファクトチェック予告 | GNU social JP Web」で紹介したThreadsのActivityPub対応、現在のMastodon gGmbHの体制、3Eやメール、XMPP、Blueskyなど重要なテーマに満遍なく触れている重要な内容に感じました。1年の締めくくりとして内容を確認してもよいと思います。
